We are always looking for new members, but joining The Threadbare Art Collective is not for everyone. Ideally, you should practice at least two arts, or even three. We expect you to have theoretical knowledge of your discipline(s), a terminal degree, professionalism, current publications, exhibitions, public readings, performances, or concerts, and possibly teaching experience. You should be a committed emerging or established artist. We also expect that you will advertise us, ask your friends to link us to their websites, share publications and job opportunities, inform us about interesting conferences and artistic events in your area, and treat all members of the Collective courteously, even when you do not agree with their personal views. In return, we will do our best to foster and support your artistic career.
If, after becoming acquainted with our site, you think that The Threadbare Art Collective might be right for your work,

Note:
We will give your application the utmost attention, but we maintain the Collective on top of our full-time jobs. In addition, our site is a democratic institution, which means that you have to be voted in by the founding members. In other words, the process might take several weeks or months, especially during the fall and spring academic semesters. Be patient with us. We will get back to you as soon as possible.
